In recent years, he has brought into political communication and media studies the tradition of comparative historical and institutional analysis that can be found in sociology and comparative politics.
Kaarle Nordenstreng

Kaarle Nordenstreng has worked as a journalist in Finnish national radio (YLE), and was President of the International Organization of Journalists, 1976-90. He has written or edited sixty books. His research interests include theory of communication, international communication, and media policy.
Bogusława Dobek–Ostrowska

She goes in for studying political communication and journalism, and media systems. She has managed numerous projects, incl. the EU 7th Framework Program “MediaAct” (2010-2013), “Journalism in change. Journalistic Culture in Poland, Russia and Sweden” of The Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies. She has published over 150 works: including 11 monographs, textbooks; and is the editor of over 20 collective studies. She has been the president of the Polish Society for Social Communication, the editor of “Central European Journal of Communication”.
