Iveta Jansová

PhD in Media and Cultural Studies
Her main research interests are in audience studies, fan studies, and the representations of gender in the media, mainly in the crime genre. She has published studies on fans and fandom, authored the book Powerful/Powerless Media Fans: TV series as a source of semiotic battles between fans and producers, and co-authored the book Female Heroines and their Portrayal in Czech TV Crime Series.

Jan Motal

In his research, he focuses on the notions of social responsibility and social dialogue. Beside it, Jan works on a theory of art grounded in the philosophy of dialogue. Being a former filmmaker, he is especially interested in audiovisual culture and the ethics of documentary movies. He wrote several books on art, e. g. Dialogue Through Art (2016) and serves as an active public advocate of socially responsible media and art.

Boris Rafailov

He helps with the implementation of several national and EU financed projects at the department. He cooperates on this with the Office for Research and Project Support, management of the department and other entities across the Faculty of Social Studies and the whole Masaryk University.
