This episode appears as a “miniconference”, viewing cancel culture amid extreme expression and the ways deliberative communication is dealing with it. It appears that, in ideal, deliberative communication can handle extreme expression, including hate speech and cancel culture. The concept of deliberative communication would provide remedies to advance accountability for the general society in the social media age. The speakers are professors Eric Heinze (University of London; MDIG), Lars Nord (Mid Sweden University) and Halliki Harro-Loit (University of Tartu) .
